Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince (in French, Le Petit Prince, originally published by Gallimard en 1942) is well-know for being the most translated book in the world: 253 languages – and more than 200 million copies of the book sold all over the world.
In 1943, Katherine Woods was in charge of the first translation into English of Saint-Exupéry’s novel.
