Children’s books author and illustrator Chris Haughton is one of our guests at the South Ken Kids Festival this year.
Chris Haughton is an Irish designer and children’s literature author and illustrator. His first book A Bit Lostwas a huge success and was translated in 20 languages. The book also won the Cambridgeshire Picturebook award in 2011 as well as the prestigious Prix Sorcières in 2012. His hilarious book Shh! We have a plan also won the Prix des Incorruptibles and the Irish Book Award in 2014. In France, Chris Haughton is published by Thierry Magnier Editions.
One colored-based each time, his books are created with the ingenious collage technique.
At the cutting edge of technology, Chris Haughton also released the virtual reality application ‘Little Earth’ on climate change last year. In collaboration with the software developer company RedRabbit Animation, the app make children aware of global warming through animated melting ice, change of seasons or moving animals that they can feed.
